CwazyMail was created as a free email service in September 2001.

Initially we had three users, by September 2004, still running as a free service, we had grown to over 15,000 users in 28 countries & taken over a rival service (zapo.net).

In late 2005 we began charging normal users & offering free services only to charities.

With the move to paid services we have become considerably faster and are able to offer more features such as outgoing (SMTP) mail services.

In the last five years we've seen just about every problem, solved it and had almost no downtime.

On a number of months, external uptime tests (posted in emailaddress.com's forums) have shown us as having a higher uptime than both hotmail and yahoo.

Cwazy is still run as a hobby but with more than a thousand users and near zero downtime, we're here to stay.
